About the PositionThe Regional Driver CDL A operates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers, and their Vendor's to their final destination. This position may be assigned to business units that require White Glove service that goes beyond standard shipping methods.Why Drive for Kenco?Pay 30.00 an hourShift M-F and home weekendsSign on Bonusof $5,000 for all class A drivers regional and OTR (excludes local positions)Time and a half after 40 hrs, double time after 60hrs.Insurance day one.Boot and uniform programCellphone usage ($50.00 per month)Layover pay $60.00 per night (Regional and OTR, Class A, B, C drivers).FunctionsOperates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor's destination.Operates the tractor/trailer to ensure that the product is delivered in a timely manner.Understands the utilization of secure devices and straps, and monitors freight for secure devices and straps to ensure products are delivered to their final destination undamaged and in their original condition.Required to follow company policy, participate in required trainings and keep truck clean.Maintains driver's daily logs, trip reports and other documents as required.Responsible for performing a full pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer.Immediately reports all instances of damaged product to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager.Provide White Glove service at every delivery.Communicates any delivery issues up line to the Transportation Supervisor/ManagerKeeps equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements.Accountable for all assigned tools and equipment.Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway.Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations and state laws.Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of tractor trailer Class A driving experienceClass A CDL requiredMeets FMCSA and company requirementsPass Background and Drug Screening.Clean driving recordTravel RequirementsThis position is expected to travel approximately 75% or greater.A passport is not required, but recommended.DisclosuresFor California residents – please enter or copy/paste the address below into your address bar to review an important notice regarding Kenco's privacy policy The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
